If you’re looking for more of a blend of power and fuel efficiency, take a look at the standard 3.6L Pentastar^® V6 engine with eTorque. This powertrain brings out up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque with an EPA-estimated 20 city/25 highway MPG. This engine will allow you to haul up to 7,730 pounds when properly equipped.

The most powerful engine option in terms of torque and horsepower is the available 6.2L Supercharged HEMI^® V8 engine—only available on the RAM 1500 TRX. This monster of an engine delivers 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque!

Trailering Technology

The Ram 1500 is prepared to help you get the job done. With a maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds, the Ram 1500 can tow whatever you need.

To help you do it, there are a few features worth considering. The available Trailer Reverse Steering Control system enables you to back up more easily. Just steer the trailer with a knob in the cabin while the system controls the truck’s steering wheel.

The available Trailer 360° Surround View Camera lets you see all around your trailer and even provides a bird’s-eye view of both your trailer and truck. This helps you navigate around obstacles.

Advanced Entertainment System

While your truck is an important tool, it can also be a great entertainment hub. The Ram 1500 boasts some impressive entertainment capabilities with an available Uconnect^® 5C system with a 12-inch display. This infotainment system offers you the ability to stream music, get in-vehicle navigation, and keep in contact with people hands-free while you’re on the road.

You can use that infotainment system to access Bluetooth^® and listen to music. To enhance that music, you’ll have an available 19-speaker Harman Kardon^® Premium Audio System. With that many speakers available to you, the Ram 1500 allows you to hear the finer details of each song.

To help keep your phone or tablet charged while you’re on the go, the media center on the console, directly below the infotainment system, offers auxiliary ports with four fast-charging USB ports and even up to three 115-volt outlets.

Advanced Cargo Box Technology

No truck would be complete without a proper cargo box in the back, and the Ram 1500 delivers some impressive tailgate features and two cargo box options. You can choose between a 5-foot-7-inch box or a 6-foot-4-inch box. Check out some of the impressive cargo box options below.

Available tailgate assist helps open the tailgate easily, no matter what the weather, without even getting out of the cab or touching the tailgate. Just press the power-release button on your key fob to lower the tailgate.

The multifunction tailgate offers a 60/40 split function for flexible access to the cargo box. You can fold down the tailgate to use as a bench or as a standard truck tailgate. When the tailgate is positioned as a bench, it has the strength to hold up to 2,000 pounds!

Finally, drivers can upgrade their trucks with an available RamBox^® Cargo Management System. This added storage area sits right along the cargo box, adding some convenient, closed storage to stow small cargo.

There’s even a built-in outlet inside the RamBox^® so you can power equipment on the go. If you’re headed out to a big game or a fun BBQ with friends, the RamBox^® can even be filled with ice and cold drinks.
